Building Excellence in our Classrooms and Campus
Maclay School’s 100-acre campus is comprised of many academic buildings, outdoor spaces, athletic facilities, and performance spaces. As the school’s educational and extracurricular needs are ever changing, the generous support of our community members has provided funding for needed updates to existing facilities and has allowed for the addition of new facilities to campus.
As an ambitious school, we are always listening to our students and watching where their interests are pushing them. Currently, the school has three priorities for investments in Capital Projects. Each addresses an immediate need and long term needed strategic enhancement for the school’s facilities and programs.
Capital Projects
Tennis Facility
The tennis facility is benefitting from the addition of a half-court hitting wall and planned enhancements to the court playing surfaces. More information can be found here:
Aquatics Center
The long-range plan for the Aquatics Center includes the addition of a new 50-meter pool to allow for the Aquatics Program to expand both with a local and regional focus.
Pole Vault Area
Thanks to the generosity of the Vickers Family, the Pole Vault area has been relocated to its new, permanent location. At this new location, the program is benefitting from new equipment and closer proximity to other field events, enhancing the overall track and field experience. Special thanks to Dr. Vic & Sandee Vickers for their generous support of the Pole Vault area and program.
Kise Family Golf Practice Facility
The Kise Family Golf Practice Facility provides athletes an unprecedented opportunity to train on campus at this 9,000 square foot outdoor facility. Utilized by both the boys and girls golf teams and Middle and Lower School Enrichment classes, the facility offers an engaging space for athletes to work on their short game, putting and chipping conveniently on campus. Special thanks to the Kise Family and the Benners Family for their support of this facility.
