HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH:
Hispanic Heritage Month is observed annually from September 15 to October 15. The idea for Hispanic Heritage Month began as a way to promote the history, culture, and contributions of Hispanic-Americans specifically, those whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. Communities mark the achievements of Hispanic and Latino Americans with festivals and educational activities. It is a time to appreciate and celebrate the colorful cultures, rich histories, and diversity of the American Latino community. September 15 is set as the starting date for the month as it is the independence anniversary for Latin American countries El Salvador, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Honduras. From here onwards, the independence days of Mexico and Chile and Dia de la Raza falls within the month. Please take a moment to view to TV Screens in the MS for photos of great accomplishers. Happy Hispanic Heritage Month
THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:
The Marauder Honor Pledge:
A MARAUDER IS HONORABLE, RESPECTFUL, ACCOUNTABLE
I WILL RESPECT ALL PEOPLE AND PROPERTY.
I WILL BE HONEST IN ALL MATTERS AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR MY ACTIONS.
Our Social last night at Skate World was a great success! We helped raise $592 for our DC Trip. Thank you to everyone who came out to support. It was a lot of fun! Thank you Mrs. Masferrer for organizing this for our middle school. Thank you to everyone who attended our Skate Night Social. We had over 100 students attend and were so happy to see everyone skating and spending time together! While checking in skates, one student was mis-takingly given the wrong shoes. We have a pair of Women's size 7 Nike AirMax 270s and are missing a size 7.5 of the same shoes. If you were given the wrong shoes, please bring them to the Middle School Office tomorrow so that we can make the switch.
MS Book Club will meet this Friday during lunch in Dr. Overstreet’s classroom.
