The Alumni Courtyard was dedicated in October 2016 and is located adjacent to the Distinguished Alumni Wall. The wall displays plaques honoring those alums who have received the Distinguished Alumnus Award. There is also the Legacy Walkway composed of brick pavers that connect the courtyard to the Upper School. Bricks in the Legacy Walkway are available to dedicate in the name of an alum or to give in honor or memory of a classmate.
The pavers are available only to Maclay alumni and each paver is engraved with the alum’s name and graduation year. If the alumnus is a Maclay Charter Member (has attended Maclay since Pre-K/Kindergarten) and/or is a Legacy Student (one parent is a Maclay alumnus), that can also be indicated. The funds raised from the sale of these brick pavers are contributed to the Alumni Legacy Endowment which is the Alumni Association’s legacy to the school and future generations of Maclay alumni. The purpose of the fund is to assist students with receiving a Maclay education.
