Building Excellence in our Classrooms and Campus

Maclay School’s 100-acre campus is comprised of many academic buildings, outdoor spaces, athletic facilities, and performance spaces. As the school’s educational and extracurricular needs are ever changing, the generous support of our community members has provided funding for needed updates to existing facilities and has allowed for the addition of new facilities to campus.

As an ambitious school, we are always listening to our students and watching where their interests are pushing them. The Beck Family Innovation Center was the outcropping of this process and has been a transformational space for our science and technology curriculum over the last three years and we are proud to be working toward our next academic expansion. For the last year, we have been talking with donors about the growing enrollment at the school and our interest in investing in and establishing a home for all our mathematics classes as part of the iTHINK Initiative. At the same time, we have been steadily adding facilities to our footprint and I am proud to share we are in the final design stages of an expansion of the Beck Family Innovation Center that will add office spaces, classrooms for mathematics as well as technology, a dedicated space to explore concepts in the area of Artificial Intelligence, as well as locker rooms for our swim teams and a dry land facility. This will sit to the east of the pool and be the first component of our master plan to improve the Maclay Road entrance traffic and parking area. Once funding is in place, we will move forward with construction, and we plan on beginning this summer for an opening of the facility early in the 2025 school year.
