The Maclay Communications Office will send a text alert from Veracross as well as an email, post on the website, and updates to local media outlets as they become available.

Maclay employs a private security company that provides campus security 7 days a week for extended hours.  All security officers are armed and trained.  In addition, we have a Sheriff's Deputy during the school hours and at large campus events.

Exterior doors on campus are maglocked during the day, and the operations have the ability to lock all doors immediately. Teachers have id's and phone apps that unlock maglocked doors.

Visitor badges are required to enter the interior of campus so you must check in at the office and sign in electronically.

In the event of tornado watch, we will send out an alert to all faculty/staff phones to hold and keep students indoors until the weather threat passes.
