2026 Commencement Speaker Announced

2026 Commencement Speaker Announced

Maclay School is proud to announce Mark Rosser as the Commencement Speaker for the Class of 2026. The ceremony will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 7:30pm on Frank Shaw Field on Maclay’s campus.

Mark Rosser is a respected leader, entrepreneur, and philanthropist whose career spans more than four decades in corporate governance, compliance, and organizational leadership. A graduate of the University of Florida with a degree in Political Science, Mark began his professional journey in education and public service before transitioning into the corporate sector, where he built an extraordinary career marked by growth, innovation, and impact.

Mark joined a small Tallahassee-based company early in his career and helped guide its expansion into a statewide leader before its merger with CSC Global. Over the next 30 years, he played a key role in growing the organization into an international enterprise with more than 5,000 employees and a presence across the United States and globally. He recently retired as Senior Vice President, leaving behind a legacy of strong leadership and strategic vision.

A dedicated community leader, Mark has served on numerous boards, including the Red Cross and Big Brothers Big Sisters, is currently a member of the Maclay School board of Trustees, and serves on the Executive Board of the University of Florida Foundation as well as its National Board. In recognition of his contributions and leadership, he was honored with the University of Florida Distinguished Alumni Award in 2021.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mark is a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He and his wife, Sally, a former middle school teacher, are proud parents of two daughters, both Maclay graduates, who have gone on to careers in education and healthcare. His deep connection to Maclay and belief in its mission make this moment especially meaningful.

“I am deeply honored to speak to the Maclay Class of 2026,” said Rosser. “This school played an important role in shaping my family’s journey, and I am grateful for the opportunity to celebrate with these graduates as they step into their futures. It is an exciting moment filled with possibility, and I look forward to sharing a message that encourages them to lead with purpose, resilience, and integrity.”

“It is a privilege to welcome Mark Rosser to the Commencement stage,” said Head of School James Milford. “Mark’s remarkable career, commitment to leadership, and longstanding connection to Maclay make him an inspiring choice for our graduates. His perspective, shaped by decades of experience and a life rooted in service and family, will resonate deeply with the Class of 2026 as they prepare to take their next steps. We are grateful to have him share this milestone with our community.”
