Athletic Director Meredith Locasto
Meredith Locasto joins Maclay as our Director of Athletics. Locasto brings over 14 years of independent school experience from both day and boarding schools. She has served in many roles throughout her career including teacher, three-season varsity coach, aquatics director, dorm supervisor, and associate director of athletics. A former two-time national champion lacrosse player and NJ Lacrosse hall of fame inductee, Meredith is looking forward to supporting and elevating all Marauder Athletics. Meredith earned a B.S. in exercise science from The College of New Jersey and an M.Ed. in educational leadership from the University of North Texas. She moved to Tallahassee with her husband, son (class of ‘31), and their two dogs.
Associate Athletic Director: Mark Maley
Mark was born and raised in central Florida. He moved to Tallahassee in 2012 to earn his B.S. in Sports Management from Florida State University. He earned his Master's degree in Athletic Administration from Ohio University. He has spent his career in sports working for Florida State University, the Jacksonville Jaguars, Tallahassee Parks & Rec., and Maclay School. Mark has been a part of the Maclay family since 2016. Mark works directly with our Director of Facilities, Jim Partridge to ensure a strategic and thorough caretaking of our facilities and fields.
Assistant Athletic Director of Community Relations: Chad McClellan
Chad has returned to Maclay as the Assistant Athletic Director for Community Relations and will help specifically with the baseball and softball programs. He is a former baseball student-athlete at Florida State University, has been around the game nearly all of his life, and has worked with student-athletes at both Ohio State and FSU. His love of the game and experiences with Maclay, FSU, and Ohio State will help add a new dynamic to our program. He has most recently been an academic advisor and heavily involved in recruiting for the FSU Football program. His love of the game, investment in student-athletes, and knowledge of the recruiting process to play at the next level will give our players and you a unique and rich resource on and off the field.
Assistant Athletic Director: Jason Cauley
Jason Cauley brings 15 years of coaching expertise to Maclay including eight years as a head football coach. Originally from Alabama, Cauley spent four years in the US Army before retiring in 2007. He started his coaching career at Murphy High School (7A Mobile, AL). His wife, Amanda’s military commitment led them to the state of Hawaii for the next five years where Cauley took his first job as a Head Coach at Moanalua High School. He later moved a college prep school in Kansas and most recently to Colorado where he led the Mitchell High School. He has coached two quarterbacks who hold All-Time state records in Hawaii and Kansas for passing yards in a single game (567 in Hawaii and 642 in Kansas). Coach Cauley assists in overseeing sports and operations for the Athletic Department.
