Volleyball at Maclay
Volleyball was one of the first sports offered for girls when Maclay was founded in 1968. The program boasts a long, proud history filled with success. The team dominated play in the 1970’s, winning the State Championship in 1975. The Lady Marauders were also District Champions for five years in a row, from 1975-1980. The early success the team had would be built upon for decades to come, as the team regularly competed in the State tournament. In 1986, the Lady Marauders finished as the State runner-up, ending the season with a 30-3 record. In 1993, the team won Districts, Regionals, and Sectionals, and advanced all the way to the State Final Four. The program would see more State trophies lifted in 1995 and 1996. In recent memory, the 2016 team won both the District and Regional titles, and Erica Bunch was named Coach of the Year by the Tallahassee Democrat.

Our Maclay Volleyball program aims to encourage our girls in the classroom, weight room, and court. We strive to build up our players so they have confidence in their skills and our game plan. We like to have fun as a team and enjoy the small victories while striving for the success of each overall athlete.
