Boys Golf at Maclay
The boys’ team began in 1974, only a few years after Maclay School was founded. The boys’ team was particularly successful in the late 1990’s, having won the District title in 1996 and 2000. The Marauders also advanced to the State competition numerous times throughout the years, including finishes in 1995 (seventh place), 1996 (13th place), from 2002-2005, and in 2016 and 2017. Hudson Swafford led the way in the early 2000’s, dominating the competition by finishing in the top 10 in the State competition three consecutive years. Swafford would go on to win three tournaments in the PGA Golf Tour, and currently competes in LIV Golf.
