The Cross Country program has a long-standing tradition of success. The inaugural season for the boys’ and girls’ team was in 1978, and it only took a few short years for the program to reach State contention. In the 1983 season, the team made the State meet for the first time led by Coach Bill Jordan. Gary Droze arrived as head coach in 1993 and oversaw the program for the next 26 years. The boys’ team won five consecutive State Championships from 1998-2002, while the girls’ team were State Champions in 1997, 1998, 1999, 2001, and 2005. Former coach Gary Droze was inducted into the FHSAA Hall of Fame a few years later. In 2019, Coach Angie Milford continued the tradition of success being named All Big Bend Coach of the Year 2020, 2021, and 2022.  In 2025, first year coach Nathan Hoffman leads the Marauders.  For more on Coach Hoffman click the link.
