We are excited to welcome you to celebrate the artwork of Maclay alumna Julie Miller Torres '98 and hope you will join us for an evening of art and conversation in the newly opened Beck Family Innovation Center Gallery.

Julie Miller Torres is a fine artist specialized in the mediums of printmaking and painting. She was born in Boise, Idaho, and raised in Tallahassee, Florida. Torres received her Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor from the University of Florida in 2002 and 2005 respectively, her Master of Law from the University of Miami in 2008, and most recently in 2016, her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking from the Savannah College of Art and Design ("SCAD").

Torres' artwork explores the delicate balance between various systems: natural, artificial, societal and legal. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and is in private and public collections including Delta Airlines, SPANX, SCAD, the Ritz Carlton, JW Marriott, Norwegian Cruise Lines and the Jordan Schnitzer Family Foundation. She lives and works in Atlanta, Georgia.

Social Distancing & Safety Protocols

  • Catering & Bar service will be provided with the highest levels of attention to sanitization and safety.  All food items will be served in individual portions.
  • The Beck Family Innovation Center’s 21,000 square feet offer ample areas for guests to spread out and distance.  Face Coverings will be worn while indoors within the facility.  Food and beverage areas will be located in the courtyard adjacent to the gallery.
