Maclay School has rolling admissions, which means we will continue to enroll students until a grade level is full. PreK enrollment begins in December, while enrollment in grades K-12 starts in January. Families are encouraged to apply early, as many grades quickly move to wait pool status.

PreK: 13 students with a teacher + teaching assistant
K-5: 18 students is a full class (K and 1st grade have a teacher + teaching assistant)
MS: 16-18 students on average per class though some subjects may have up 20.
US: 18 students on average per class though some subjects may have up to 22 in Upper School.

1050 estimated students PreK 3-12th grade, a 12:1 student/teacher ratio on average.

Maclay School employs security officers on campus who are armed and on campus seven days a week. There is one entry location at the Welcome Station for guests who must present a driver’s license upon entering campus. In addition, Leon County Sheriff's Deputy is on campus each school day while school is in session.

Marauder Meals provides food services serving breakfast for early bird care and a hot lunch tray, or sub sandwiches, Açaí bowls, sushi, pizza, and more. Middle and Upper School students can also purchase snacks and lunch in the TruBru Coffee Shop. 

Maclay offers over 100 summer camps, from academics to technology to art, athletics, and day camp.  Visit www.maclaycamps.com for a schedule beginning in January.

Students in PK3 - 12th grade wear a school uniform. Suggested vendors are Lands End or Tommy Hilfiger but tops that meet uniform standards can have the crest added at local vendors. Fridays are spirit days and a Maclay spirit t-shirt and jeans are allowed.  The Maclay Community Association supports a resale store where items can be donated and resold for $1.  

Maclay offers academic support through the Center of Academic Excellence. The CAE coordinates assessments, testing, accommodations, tutorial services, directed study halls, and study support services, to name a few.  CAE staff is dedicated to each division, Lower, Middle, and Upper School.  The Upper School also has the MARC (Maclay Academic Resource Center), available several times a week and offers free help with classwork or homework.

While we do not accept state scholarships or vouchers, we do have a robust tuition assistance program. Families are encouraged to apply early and can find more information here. Each year, Maclay selects two rising 9th graders to receive the Head of School Scholarship, a full merit-based scholarship awarded to highly academic, well-rounded students.  Applications are due in January.  You can learn more here.
