Q: When is the deadline for applications?
Maclay School has a rolling admissions which means we will continue to enroll students until a grade level is full. PreK enrollment begins in December while enrollment in grades K-12 starts in January. Families are encouraged to apply early as many grades quickly move to wait pool status.
Q: How big are the classes?
PreK: 12 students with a teacher + teaching assistant
K-5: 18 students is a full class (K and 1st grade have a teacher + teaching assistant)
MS: 16-18 students on average per class though some subjects may have up 20.
US: 18 students on average per class though some subjects may have up to 22 in Upper School.

Q: What type of security do you have in place?
Maclay School employs security officers on campus who are armed and on campus seven days a week. There is one entry location at the Welcome Station for guests who must present a driver’s license upon entering campus.
Q: What types of meal services are provided?
Marauder Meals provides food services serving hot lunch, Wich Which sandwiches, Açaí bowls, pizza and more. Upper School students can also purchase snacks and lunch in the TruBru Cafe.
Q: Does Maclay offer any summer programs?
Maclay offers over 100 summer campus from academics, to technology, to art, athletics, and day camp. Visit www.maclaycamps.com for a schedule beginning in February.
Q: What kind of before and after school programs do you have?
Maclay offers a variety of options for after school including early bird drop off at 7am for PreK-8, and a robust afterschool care program through Kids Club, the LevelUp Enrichment classes. The Middle School Center is also available for grades 6-8..
Q: Does Maclay have a dress code?
Students in PK3 - 12th grade wear a school uniform. Upper School students also have a 'Dress for Success' dress code for pre-assigned days.
Q: What type of academic support does Maclay have?
Maclay offers academic support through the Center of Academic Excellence. The CAE coordinates assessments, testing, accommodations, tutorial services, directed study halls, and study support services to name to a few. CAE staff is dedicated to each division, Lower, Middle, and Upper School. The Upper School also has the MARC (Maclay Academic Resource Center) which is available free of charge.
Q: Does Maclay offer or accept scholarships?
In October 2021, Maclay launched the merit-based Head of School Scholarship for rising 9th Graders which you can learn more about here. While we do not accept state scholarships or vouchers, we do have a robust tuition assistance program. Families are encouraged to apply early and can find more information here.
