Where Engineers are Born.

Code It. Build It. Win It.
From the earliest introduction to coding and design to competitive robotics at the regional and national level, Maclay offers one of the most comprehensive robotics experiences in the area. Students can explore robotics and computer science through dedicated courses in Middle and Upper School, dive deeper through enrichment offerings like Building with Bots, Tech Design & Innovation, and Computer Science Discoveries, and take their skills to the next level through the Advanced Competitive Robotics team, which competes in FIRST LEGO LEAGUE and VEX Robotics challenges. Beyond the school day, Maclay's Kids Club and auxiliary programs bring robotics and STEM exploration to younger students, sparking curiosity and creativity from an early age. Whether a student is just getting started or ready to compete on a national stage, Maclay's robotics program offers a pathway for every level of interest and ability.

After School and Summer Camps
K-5 students discover the world of engineering and design through after-school enrichment and summer camp. Using FIRST LEGO League Discover and Explore kits, students build, create, and problem-solve in a hands-on, playful environment that sparks a love of learning from the very beginning.

Iron Maidens
Maclay’s all-girls robotics team, the Iron Maidens combine creativity, collaboration, and courage. They’re known for bold designs and innovative thinking, empowering girls to lead in STEM fields competing in the FIRST LEGO LEAGUE.

Mad Marauders
The Mad Marauders bring energy and enthusiasm to every build session with FIRST LEGO LEAGUE Challenge. Known for their inventive ideas and strong teamwork, they represent the growing Middle School robotics movement at Maclay.

Mechanized Marauders

Robonauts
The Robonauts dive deep into robot control systems and competition strategy, refining the skills that prepare students for high school-level robotics and coding challenges.

Droid Dynamics
Our advanced high school robotics team, Droid Dynamics, builds and programs autonomous machines that push the limits of creativity and engineering using FIRST Tech Challenge competitions. They focus on precision, teamwork, and innovation.

Vector Robotics
Vector Robotics bridges classroom learning and competition experience through FIRST Tech Challenge events. This club gives students the freedom to explore design ideas and coding challenges in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
