Progress Monitoring

  • Academic monitoring for all students utilizing True Progress, Imagine + Screener, and other school screeners and curriculum-based assessments 
  • Consultation with parents regarding academic concerns 
  • Screenings by speech/language and occupational therapists 
  • Informal assessments of individual students, identifying areas for growth 
  • Advocacy and resources for neurodiverse students 

Accommodations and Test Proctoring

  • The coordination of any psycho educational testing, including referrals to community partners 
  • Accommodations (Learning Profiles) for qualified students
  • Test proctoring support for qualified students with testing accommodations in grades 3-12.

College Board/ACT Accommodations

  • The application for ACT/College Board college testing accommodations is through our SSD (Students with Disabilities) coordinator.

Enrichment Opportunities

  • iThinkers STEM-based enrichment courses for qualified students in grades K-3. Referral required.

  • iThinkers Math Competition course for students in grades 4-8. Referral required for grade 5. Open to all in grades 6-8.

Additional Paid Services

Pathways: Small Group Literacy Instruction

  • Pathways is a specialized program for students in grades 1–5 who need targeted reading support. It provides individualized, Orton-Gillingham–based instruction in a nontraditional classroom setting, with increased frequency and a focus on building foundational literacy skills aligned with the science of reading. Referral required.

ACCESS

  • ACCESS is a support program for students in grades 6–12 who benefit from Academic Coaching for Confidence, Engagement, and Strategic Support. In place of an elective, world language, or study hall, students meet regularly with a CAE learning specialist to strengthen executive functioning, organization, and self-advocacy skills. Referral and availability required.

Pre-K & Kindergarten Literacy Support

  • Pre-K & Kindergarten Literacy Support provides individualized early literacy instruction for students who benefit from additional support in developing foundational reading skills. Through one-on-one, science of reading–aligned instruction, students build phonological awareness, phonemic awareness, letter-sound knowledge, early decoding, and beginning encoding skills to establish a strong foundation for future reading success. Referral required.

Therapies

  • Maclay partners with a speech-language pathologist, an occupational therapist, and a board-certified behavior analyst to provide services to students during the school day. Additional speech/language and occupational therapy screeners are provided for our youngest students (Pk/K) or as requested by families. Referral required.

“Math at Maclay” 

  • “Math at Maclay” is a K-5 math program designed specifically for our Maclay students who either seek additional math help or who hope to delve deeper into classroom math concepts. Maclay CAE learning specialists and math faculty team up to provide hands-on math support and enrichment. Open to all.
