• The Foundations Wheel for 6th grade consists of the following courses: Expressions, Reading, Connections (math workshop-style course), Study Skills, and Computer Science. The 6th graders will rotate among the five courses (every five periods) throughout the school year, so they are not nine-week courses, they are year-long courses where students attain skills throughout the school year. 

    The Foundations Wheel for 7th and 8th grade consists of the following courses: Expressions, Technology (Robotics for 7th and Computer Science for 8th), and Connections (math workshop). The 7th and 8th graders rotate among the three courses (every three periods) throughout the school year, so they are also not nine-week courses, they are year-long courses where students attain skills throughout the school year. 

    The BLUE Enrichment Classes are all semester except for the 6th grade Band and MS Band, BUT Exploratory Band is semester. 

    The purpose of the Foundations Wheel is for students to attain/practice the foundation skills in technology & math (engineering minds), and writing (the arts). 6th graders have additional foundation skills that are necessary for launching into success in middle school- Study Skills and Reading (reading to learn).
