During the summer, the Center for Learning offers a number of opportunities for support services and supplementary education.
- Structured Multisensory Reading Instruction – Many of our students benefit from continuing with direct, explicit reading instruction throughout the summer. Based on availability, we open our doors to non-Maclay students.
- Structured Multisensory Math Instruction – We continue to offer direct, explicit multisensory math instruction to our students throughout the summer. Based on availability, we also work with non-Maclay students throughout the summer.
- Tutorial Services – Need some help completing your required summer assignments? Want to brush up on or preview some math skills? How about doing some preparation for the SAT or ACT? Look no further than the Center for Learning. We’ll keep you on track and help you get ready for the new school year.
- Individualized Coursework – We work with division directors to allow students to take a course with a Maclay faculty member over the summer for credit. This is only available to students with the approval of a division director and is based upon the availability of a faculty member to teach the course.
