To assist us in making financial aid decisions in a fair and equitable manner, Maclay is using a NEW online system for the 2017-2018 school year. This new system is from the same company (FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment) that will process our enrollment contracts, so your accounts will be linked for simpler and more efficient processing. Please do NOT use the prior School and Student Service for Financial Aid’s (SSS) Parents Financial Statement that you used last year.
Families applying for financial aid will need to submit the necessary supporting documentation to FACTS no later than April 15, 2017 (earlier is preferred). Applicants can apply online by clicking the FACTS link. Once an online application has been completed, the following information will need to be sent to FACTS to complete the application process:
* Copies of your most recent Federal tax forms including all supporting tax schedules
* Copies of your most recent W-2 forms for both you and your spouse or partner in your household
* Copies of supporting documentation for Social Security Income, Welfare, Child Support, Food Stamps, Workers’ Compensation, and TANF
For blended families, please know that we follow the same guidelines that the federal government uses for college financial aid. The custodial parent and step parent’s combined household income is used to determine financial need.
All supporting documentation can be uploaded in pdf format online
Step 3: Enroll at Maclay School
Your student must officially enroll at Maclay (electronic signature of enrollment contract and pay the 10% deposit along with one-time $600 new student enrollment fee if grades 6-12) before your child can receive any financial aid or participate in Maclay School or athletic activities over the summer.
The Financial Aid Committee will begin reviewing applications after April 15th and will notify you of its decision as soon as possible (approximately mid-May). Please know that we do not award ‘scholarships’ at Maclay School. All financial aid is disbursed based on the financial needs of the family.
