A word from your Coach:
On behalf of the players and our coaching staff, I want to thank you for your interest in Maclay Football. In seven years, our program has matured into one of the premier football programs in North Florida.
Maclay Football players are student-athletes in every respect. What separates Maclay Football players is the importance of academics in their lives. Maclay School is an independent, college preparatory that enjoys a statewide and national reputation for academic excellence. Our players routinely make the School honor roll, are National Merit Scholars and are well respected within the Maclay School community. In addition to their academic record, our players are good citizens of the Maclay and Tallahassee communities. Service to others is stressed in all aspects of our players' lives, both as students and as members of the football team. As Maclay students, our players are also required to adhere to the stringent Maclay Honor Code.
On the field, the Marauders have recently moved into the competitive 3A classification after dominating the North Florida Football Conference. In 2011 and 2012, our program won back-to-back NFFC championships, and, in the process, set School and conference records.
Historically, most players are multi-sport athletes. Several of our football alumni have moved on to play football at the collegiate level, while others have signed to play Division I lacrosse and track. This past year saw Maclay's first alumnus play in the NFL.
We are proud of the accomplishments of our student-athletes and we invite you to get to know Maclay School and our current team in the pages ahead.
Go Marauders!
